  8. Hewlett-Packard's Open View and IBM's central management facility NetView.
  9. BrxOPENVIEW converts Open View events into SNA alerts and transmits these SNA
  10. alerts to IBM's NetView for logging and analysis; BrxOPENVIEW also receives
  11. RUNCMDs issued by NetView network operators and executes these requests on the
  12. local HP system.  BrxOPENVIEW runs as an HP-UX application and uses HP SNALink
  13. to connect to IBM's System Network Architecture (SNA) networks.  BrxOPENVIEW
  14. facilitates co-management between IBM and HP network management tools,
  15. allowing IBM network operators to monitor and control local-area networks
  16. managed by HP Open View.
  17. Coordinating HP Open View and IBM's NetView allows you to effectively mange
  18. corporate computing resources form a central site.  With BrxOPENVIEW, failures
  19. or impending problems detected with devices managed by Open View on your
  20. local-area network are immediately reported to IBM's NetView.  These problems
  21. can be monitored and resolutions instituted from your corporate management
  22. center.
